The OASIS team is a growing group of health professionals. It goes beyond the people in our clinics. The team includes:
The OASIS Team spans the continuum of care. This means that OASIS will support people with osteoarthritis whether they’re accessing care in the Primary Health Care Network, the Community Care Network or the Acute Care Network. You receive primary care in your doctor’s office and in clinics; acute care in hospitals; and care in the community through home support and programs that promote health and wellness.
By being involved in all of these different areas, the OASIS team can help individuals navigate the health care system and access the range of services and treatments they need to live well with osteoarthritis at every stage of the disease.
The multidisciplinary team (PDF) – made up of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurse clinicians and dietitians – offers a “one stop shop” assessment for people with osteoarthritis. This range of knowledge and experience means our clinicians approach osteoarthritis in different ways.
The Regional Office supports the clinics and works closely with OASIS Partners to identify and fill gaps in care and develop services. Education specialists develop and run education sessions and administrators monitor and evaluate programs and services.
